Day wise Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Cochin & Transfer to Munnar
Arrive in Cochin and drive to Munnar, a beautiful hill station in the Western Ghats, passing lush tea plantations along the way. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and visit the Tea Museum to learn about local tea production. Enjoy a delicious local dinner in the evening and unwind in Munnar’s serene atmosphere before resting at your hotel.
Day 02: Discover Munnar’s Natural Beauty
Start your day by seeing the Eravikulam National Park, possibly catching glimpses of that elusive Nilgiri Tahr with breathtaking scenery. Then, drive to Mattupetty for a refreshing boat ride on the quiet waters. At the same time, the hills of natural beauty lie around it.
Take your leisure time and experience the natural grandeur at the refreshing Attukal Waterfalls, famous for its serene scenery and fragrance. This enables you to continue the day by visiting the local markets to explore shops and buy beautiful tea and spice-based fragrances to taste the different products available in Munnar. End your day by returning to your hotel to rejuvenate and relax with dinner. Overnight stay at your hotel in Munnar.
Day 03: Munnar to Thekkady – Wildlife and Cultural Delights
Scenic drive to Thekkady, known for its Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival, check into your accommodation and prepare for an exciting afternoon.
Start with a boat ride on Periyar Lake, where you can glimpse regal elephants and other wild creatures amidst the calm waters and lush greenery. After your lake excursion, you can visit a spice plantation to see the numerous fragrant spices that Kerala is known for.
As the sun sets, indulge in Kerala’s cultural heritage—a traditional Kathakali dance experience. This is a treat for the eyes and a storytelling experience. That night, stay in Thekkady.
Day 04: Alleppey – Backwater Bliss
After breakfast, you will leave Thekkady and drive to Alleppey, famous for its beautiful backwaters. The drive of about 140 kilometres takes you through beautiful countryside and lush landscapes. You will check into a deluxe houseboat by noon for your night stay. This houseboat cruise through the Alleppey Backwaters is the quintessential Kerala experience; glide past paddy fields, coconut groves, and quaint villages with this peaceful ambience. Enjoy a delicious lunch and tea on board as you unwind in the tranquil atmosphere of this unique water world. By evening, the houseboat will be docked, and you will be transferred to your hotel in Alleppey. Enjoy your time to unwind! Your overnight stay will be at your hotel in Alleppey.
Day 05: Drop at Cochin Airport
After a laid-back breakfast, you will depart your hotel in Alleppey and drive back to Cochin, about 85 kilometres away. With no sightseeing plans today, take this wonderful opportunity to relax and reflect on the amazing memories from your tour. Enjoy the scenic drive as we head back, and remember to arrive at Cochin Airport well ahead of your departure. What a fantastic end to your Kerala adventure!
