Day wise Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Bucharest
Arrive at Otopeni Airport, Bucharest. Meet your Romanian guide. Take a panoramic city tour, visiting the Village Museum (founded in 1936), the Patriarchate Church, and a photo stop at the colossal Palace of Parliament. In the late afternoon, explore the old town. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 02: Bucharest - Cozia - Medias
Depart for Medias via Cozia and visit Cozia Monastery, the burial place of Prince Mircea Cel Batran. Drive through the beautiful Olt River Valley to Sibiu, where you can take a walking tour of the old city centre and visit the Orthodox Church. Then, continue to Medias for panoramic tours, dinners, and overnight stays.
Day 03: Medias - Turda - Cluj Napoca - Sighetu Marmatiei
Drive to Turda to visit the impressive Turda Salt Mine, which has been closed since 1932. Continue north to Cluj Napoca for a city tour. Proceed to Sighetu Marmatiei for a panoramic tour before heading to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 04: Sighetu Marmatiei – Viseu (Steam Train Ride) - Bistrita
In the morning, leave for Viseul de Sus to board the famous Mocanita steam train, offering stunning views of rural Romania and a picnic en route. Continue to Bistrita for a city tour, once vital for its trade on the Bistrita River. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05: Bistrita – Sovata - Predeal
Depart for Sovata for a relaxing walk by Ursu Lake, which is renowned for its balneotherapy offerings, such as sulfur baths. Then, continue to Predeal for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 06: Predeal – Bran – Bod – Harman – Prejmer - Predeal
In the morning, depart for Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle. Lunch will be traditional at Bod, a peasant’s home. Then, visit the fortified churches of Prejmer and Harman, Brasov for a walking tour, and the Black Church. Return to Predeal for a festive dinner with a folklore program.
Day 07: Predeal – Azuga – Sinaia - Bucharest
Depart to Azuga for wine tasting at historic cellars that supplied Romania’s royal family. Continue to Peles Castle, one of Europe’s most beautiful, situated amidst breathtaking nature. Transfer to Bucharest for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 08: Bucharest – Departure
Enjoy free time based on your flight schedule before your transfer to the airport.
