Day wise Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Gangtok

Your journey starts as you arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Our representative will greet you warmly and then take you to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim.

The distance is about 125 kilometres and will take 4 hours and 30 minutes to reach. Gangtok has breathtaking landscapes, peaceful monasteries, and vibrant culture.

Once you get there, you’ll check in to your hotel. This is your place of rest for the day to rejuvenate yourself. Take time out for independent sightseeing or enjoy the tranquil ambience of the hills. Spend overnight at your hotel in Gangtok and prepare for a wonderful day trip the following day.

Day 02: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir

After a delicious breakfast, enjoy an unforgettable full-day excursion to the mesmerizing Tsomgo Lake and the revered New Baba Mandir. The journey to Tsomgo Lake, at an altitude of 12,400 feet, covers approximately 37 kilometres from Gangtok and takes about two hours. One of Sikkim’s most serene and picturesque spots, this sacred glacial lake has crystal-clear waters reflecting snow-capped peaks.

Next, visit the New Baba Mandir at 13,200 feet and just 16 kilometres from Tsomgo Lake. This sacred shrine is dedicated to a soldier whose spirit is believed to protect the region, offering visitors peace and spirituality.

This day is left for the ones looking to explore an additional adventure, the historic Indo-China border point Nathula Pass, for an extra cost. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure after spending a whole day surrounded by the beauty of nature and culture. Recline back into Gangtok to relax in the evening. Visit the local markets and wind down for the night at Gangtok.

Make this day a perfect blend of scenic splendour, spiritual exploration, and serene relaxation!

Day 03: Gangtok to Pelling via Namchi Chardham & Ravangla Buddha Park

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and drive to Pelling, a scenic town in West Sikkim known for its Himalayan views.

On the way, visit the impressive Namchi Siddheshwar Dham, a captivating replica of the Chardham, and then stop at the serene Ravangla Buddha Park, home to a grand statue of Lord Buddha overlooking the valley.

Upon arriving in Pelling, check in to your hotel, Rufina Palm Bliss (Premium Room) or a similar category hotel. Enjoy a leisurely evening in the fresh mountain air as you prepare for more adventures in Pelling.

Day 04: Pelling Sightseeing and Transfer to Darjeeling

After a delicious breakfast, proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Pelling. Start with the Pelling Skywalk, which has a transparent floor and views of the mountains. Next, visit the Pemayangtse Monastery, which is considered one of Sikkim’s oldest and most beautiful monasteries for its architecture and spiritual value. Then, visit Rabdentse Ruins to see the rich heritage of Sikkim and its scenery.

Wrap your Pelling tour by concluding at the Bird Sanctuary, a haven for bird watchers. Later, take a picturesque journey to Darjeeling, named famously “The Queen of Hills,” and check into your hotel with the evening free for some introspection in peace before an adventure-filled Darjeeling holiday.

Day 05: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing

Your day starts early with a visit to Tiger Hill, where you’ll witness the magical sunrise over Mt. Khangchendzonga, the world’s third-highest peak. Watching the first rays of sunlight touch the snow-capped peaks is a breathtaking experience you’ll never forget.

Next is visiting the Ghoom Monastery, a Tibetan Buddhist monastery and probably the oldest one in Darjeeling. Then, there’s a stop at Batasia Loop, a world-famous spiral railway track offering breathtaking views of the landscape around Darjeeling, before returning to your hotel for breakfast.

Your sightseeing remains incomplete without visiting the serene Japanese Temple and the peaceful atmosphere of the Peace Pagoda. Both are spots of worship with panoramic views. Explore the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, which is closed on Thursdays. Learn its history and visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, a rare species park. The red panda and the snow leopard are some rare species found there.

The tour also covers Tenzing Rock, an excellent rock climbing place named after the famous Tenzing Norgay. Then, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Centre (closed on Sundays) can be visited to see the outstanding handicrafts of the Tibetan artisans. Finally, one can take an outside view of the beautiful tea gardens that produce some of the finest teas in the world.

After a day filled with exploration, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 06: Departure from Darjeeling

On the last day of your tour, after having your breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, which is 75 km and takes about 3 hours by road.
