Day wise Itinerary

Day 01: Welcome to Paradise – Unveiling Srinagar’s Serenity

On your arrival at Srinagar International Airport, take a 35-minute ride through the heart of New Srinagar city and pass by the Abdullah bridge that connects the two sides of the river Jehlum, visiting the Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar, Hazratbal Dargah Sharif, Chashma Shahi Garden, Dal Lake, Nagin Lake, Pari Mahal, Shankaracharya Temple. Dinner and Overnight in hotel/houseboats.

Mughal Garden Shalimar Bagh: Shalimar Bagh is a Mughal garden in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir, India, which is associated with a channel to the northeast of Dal Lake. Don’t miss the charming Nishat Bagh, which translates to “The Garden of Delight.”

Nishat Bagh: Nishat Bagh is a terraced Mughal garden built on the eastern side of the Dal Lake, near Srinagar in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is the largest Mughal garden in the Kashmir Valley. ‘Nishat Bagh’ is Urdu and means the “Garden of Joy,” “Garden of Gladness,” and “Garden of Delight.”.

Hazratbal Masjid: Hazratbal, or Dargah, is the notified area in Downtown Srinagar located around 10 km (6.2 mi) from the city centre.

Pari Mahal: Pari Mahal, or Peer Mahal, known as The Palace of Fairies, is a seven-terraced Mughal garden located on the Zabarwan mountain range, overlooking Srinagar and Dal Lake in Jammu and Kashmir.

Nigeen Lake: Nigeen Lake is a slightly eutrophic lake in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is sometimes counted as a part of Dal Lake and connected through a narrow strait.

Chashma Shahi Garden: Chashme Shahi, a Mughal garden built in 1632 AD around a spring, was constructed by Ali Mardan Khan for Emperor Shah Jahan as a gift for his son, Prince Dara Shikoh.

Dal Lake: Dal is an urban lake in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is the second-largest lake in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is integral to tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is named the “Lake of Flowers,” “Jewel in the crown of Kashmir,” or “Srinagar’s Jewel.”

Shankaracharya Temple: Shankaracharya Temple or Jyeshteshwara Temple is a Hindu temple located atop the Shankaracharya Hill on the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple stands 1,000 feet above the valley floor and commands the city of Srinagar.

Day 02: Gulmarg Getaway – Where Meadows Meet Majestic Peaks

After breakfast, move to the Gulmarg route. You get a pleasant view of Tangmarg town and drive ahead on a 14 km scenic drive to Gulmarg. In the early afternoon, check into the hotel in Gulmarg. Take a short tour, which is an optional ride on the Gondola cable car. After an hour, return to Gulmarg and consider optional horse riding.

Day 03: Gulmarg to Pahalgam

After breakfast, we drive to Pahalgam through Pampore, Avantipura, and the village of Bijbehara, which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. We take a diversion from the national highway 1A at Khanabal and drive through the second biggest city of Anantnag.

From here, the road becomes scenic as we drive parallel to the Lidder River, which flows in the opposite direction. In Pahalgam, check-in at the hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Aru Vally: Aru is a tourist destination in the Anantnag District of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is about 12 kilometres from Pahalgam and 11 kilometres along the beautiful Lidder River. This area is famous for its stunning meadows, serene lakes, and majestic mountains. It is a starting point for exciting treks to popular spots like the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. It’s a great place for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!

Betab Vally: This valley is located at an altitude of 15 kilometers from Pahalgam in the northernmost union territory of Jammu and Kashmir in India’s Anantnag district. This valley was named after Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh’s hit debut film Betaab.

Chandanwari is the base or starting point of the most famous Hindu pilgrimage site, the Shri Amarnath Yatra, between June and August.

Located at 2,895 meters, about 16 kilometres from Pahalgam, this offbeat tourist spot in Jammu and Kashmir is perfect for unwinding in nature.

Day 04: Pahalgam to Srinagar

After breakfast, we went back to Srinagar. In the afternoon, we rode for an hour on Shikara in Dal Lake. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Dal Lake: Dal is a lake in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is an urban lake, which is the second largest in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is an integral part of tourism and recreation in Kashmir and is known as the “Lake of Flowers,” “Jewel in the crown of Kashmir,” or “Srinagar’s Jewel.”

Day 05: Sonmarg Excursion & Houseboat Stay

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven on a full-day excursion trip to Sonmarg in the morning.

Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold): This place of breathtaking beauty in Sindh Valley, full of flowers and surrounded by mountains at a height of 2690 m above sea level. As tourists do not visit it very often, its background can be described as snow-clad mountains against a bright sky. It serves as a base for treks to the high-altitude Himalayan Lakes.

OPTIONAL – A horse ride may be enjoyed here, too. Afternoon drive back from Sonmarg to Srinagar, an overnight stay at a houseboat.

Day 06: Departure from Srinagar

Enjoy breakfast on the houseboat, which offers a stunning view of Kashmir. You will experience the unforgettable beauty and warmth of this magical valley. The driver will take you to Srinagar Airport on your flight schedule.
